I absolutely LOVE decorating for the holidays. Every holiday has a space in my attic with organized plastic bins and labels. From Valentine's day to Easter and on through Christmas I make sure to have a unique display for each one. Halloween is no different!
I have a tried and true method for decorating a house during the holidays. It requires careful concentration and extreme organization. I call it: dump it on the floor!

What better way to see what you have and make decisions about where it will all go? Unpack all the boxes and survey the damage. I have been collecting seasonal decor since I was 18 years old. It's impossible to remember every piece and exactly where it lived in the house last year. Sometimes I buy a pumpkin at Goodwill in July and completely forget about it. The best way to get a handle of what I'm working with is to spread it out on the floor. From here I pick up each piece and place it in my home.
In reality, I prefer to be more organized than what you see in that picture. This year I took photos of all the rooms so I would have some direction in the future. 2017 was the first full year in our home so I was still figuring out how and when I would put out my fall/ Halloween/ Thanksgiving decorations. In 2018 I made some concrete decisions, took photo evidence and made notes!
